About Google Minesweeper

What this site is
Google Minesweeper is an independent browser version of the classic mine-clearing puzzle. It is made for people who want to play a quick round without installing anything, creating an account, or digging through menus. It runs on phones, tablets and computers, and it is built to load quickly on ordinary connections.
What is in the game
- Beginner, Intermediate and Expert levels, plus custom board sizes.
- A safe first click, so a round never ends on your first move.
- Flags, chording, a timer, a mine counter and keyboard shortcuts.
- Touch controls, including long-press to flag on phones and tablets.

Why it works the way it does
We kept the rules exactly as most people remember them, and added a few conveniences that make short sessions nicer, such as the safe first click and touch-friendly controls. No sign-up means there is nothing to forget, and no account means there is no profile of you sitting on our side.
